One of Stanford Engineering's greatest traditions is the annual Terman Engineering Scholastic Award. Every spring, the school recognizes the top 5 percent of the undergraduate senior class (these days about 20 students) and asks these students to share their award with a hometown teacher who influenced them the most.

This picture shows the Terman award honorees of 35 years ago, in 1973. Back in those days, one could get the award from Terman himself. To see this year's winners (and those from the previous few years as well), visit this page .

We are interested in your nostalgic photos and the stories they tell. If you'd like to share them with the Stanford Engineering community, e-mail them to David Orenstein , Manager, Communications and P.R.
