Shoucheng Zhang

Zhang's research interest in theoretical condensed matter physics concentrates on a theory of high Tc superconductivity based on the SO(5) symmetry between antiferromagnetism and superconductivity. Understanding strong electronic correlations in condensed matter systems through unifying principles which organize the low energy degrees of freedom and the competitions between various phases.
