SoE-Future (Archive)
In early 2015, Stanford Engineering formed a small committee of faculty, staff, and students to lead “SoE Future” – a process of discovery to define the path forward for the school. Drawing input from hundreds of individuals within and beyond the school, they explored how to build on its solid foundation to ensure enduring success. The enthusiasm and engagement of those involved was extraordinary, and the recommendations the committee generated exceeded all expectations.
Below you will find a library of the white papers that captured the many recommendations and ideas that came out of the SoE-Future project and helped define the School of Engineering over the past decade. As new frontiers and challenges continue to reshape engineering research and education, we remain committed, as always, to pursuing ambitious, collaborative work that solves real-world problems and prepares engineers who are technically excellent, ethically grounded, and ready to meet the needs of a new era.
