Please join us for our first Friends of Hopkins lecture of the 2020-2021 season! We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Manu Prakash, Associate Professor in the Department of Bioengineering and Senior Fellow in the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment, who will share with us his work on the development of an inexpensive underwater microscope to image plankton (the “PlanktonScope”) and his hydrodynamic treadmill -- a device that allows researchers to study plankton in a laboratory environment that mimics the open ocean. Come with us on an undersea journey to explore what is hidden in plain sight!
