Eric Yuan founded Zoom Video Communications in 2011. Prior to starting Zoom, he was Corporate Vice President of Engineering at Cisco, where he was responsible for Cisco’s collaboration software development. As one of the founding engineers and Vice President of Engineering at WebEx, Yuan grew the WebEx team from 10 engineers to more than 800 worldwide, and contributed to revenue growth of $800M. He is a named inventor on 11 issued and 20 pending patents related to real-time collaboration, holds a BS in applied mathematics from Shandong University of Science and Technology, and is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program.
Santi Subotovsky, a general partner at Emergence Capital, led the firm’s investment in Zoom. Before joining Emergence, he founded AXG Tecnonexo, a SaaS e-learning company in Argentina. He expanded the company to more than 150 employees, with operations across Latin America and the US. Subotovsky is also a founding board member of Puente Labs, an organization that helps founders of high-potential growth companies in Latin America scale their businesses globally. He received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and holds a BS in Economics from St. Andrew’s University in Argentina.
