Considering an advanced degree? Get a glimpse of your own graduate career at Stanford Engineering.

The Student Success and Engagement team hosts a variety of programs for prospective graduate students in engineering. From various graduate fairs and university information sessions to campus visits and intensive application preparation resources, students gain invaluable exposure to Stanford graduate programs and life as a graduate student. Our programs offer participants access to graduate student research, application workshops, and a chance to connect with peers and faculty.

Meet graduate admissions representatives from across Stanford Engineering departments and receive concrete advice as you prepare to submit your application by the fall deadlines. This program will be most helpful for those who are preparing applications and are near-ready to submit.

GradSpark

Join us Summer 2026 for GradSpark, a week-long series of virtual sessions tailored to support aspiring graduate students in their journey toward advanced degrees in engineering disciplines. The goal of GradSpark is to encourage and support timely preparation of graduate application materials in the summer months, ahead of the fall application cycle. We are eager to help you start early so you're able to prepare the strongest application possible. Registration will open in February 2026. GradSpark will be hosted on three distinct weeks across the months of June, July, and August. 

Who should attend?

  • Rising junior or senior undergraduates
  • Post-baccalaureate students (master's students are eligible)
  • Those interested in pursuing a PhD in the next 1-2 years

Stanford Exposure to Research and Graduate Education (SERGE) hosts prospective doctoral students for a fully funded visit to campus that includes tours of research labs and application workshops.

Stanford Engineering Research Introductions (SERIS) is a program that empowers students early in their undergraduate career, particularly freshmen and sophomores from underrepresented communities, to pursue graduate academic engineering research.
