Jorge Avelar

Stanford Summer Engineering Academy
I was born in Mexico and my family moved to California when I was 3.

Getting into Stanford was a complete dream come true. And then getting into SSEA – I still can’t believe I’m here. I’ve been interested in engineering for a while, but it wasn’t until I attended SSEA that I fell in love with it. SSEA has given me exposure to so many different fields within engineering.
