Handshake
Handshake is an online platform that provides Stanford students with opportunities, connections, events, and content related to their career aspirations and interests. Employers can access Handshake to post positions, create events, and connect with students. Handshake is also used to post on-campus jobs, including open assistantship (RA, CA, TA) positions.
Internships
The following are funding opportunities for U.S. engineering students to go abroad:
- National Science Foundation East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) selects approximately 250 U.S. graduate students per year to conduct research in Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, or Taiwan for 8-10 weeks in the summer.
- The Central Europe Summer Research Institute (CESRI) supports Masters or Ph.D. students in science or engineering to spend eight weeks conducting lab research in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, or Slovakia.
