Student Group Funding

Does your student group need funding for an activity that benefits the School of Engineering community or furthers the goals of your engineering association, for instance, a mentorship program, community outreach, or attendance at a national convention? The SoE accepts applications to assist groups with limited funding (up to $5000 per year per group). Fill out the OSA Request for Funding form. If you have questions, contact Karolina Reyes in Huang Engineering Center Suite 135 or at soeundergrad@stanford.edu.

Proposals are accepted and reviewed quarterly. There are two submission deadlines for  Winter (Friday, January 30, 2026 and Friday, March 20, 2026) and Spring (Friday April 24, 2026 and Friday June 5th). When you submit a proposal, send an email to soeundergrad@stanford.edu.

You are welcome to submit as early as you like; the funding decisions will be emailed to the contact listed on the form within a couple of weeks after the submission deadline.

• Groups must be associated with the School of Engineering and have an ASSU account
• Complete proposals include other sources of group funding and your ASSU budget
• There is an upper limit of $5000 per group per year of SoE funding

Proposals for early fall activities should be submitted the previous spring quarter or by the first deadline in fall.
