It’s so easy for me to get lost in my schoolwork every week and forget about taking advantage of all the additional resources available at Stanford.
I’m the first person in my family to go to college and since I’ve arrived, I’ve been keenly aware of trying to get the most out of all that Stanford has to offer. In addition, it’s been a priority for me since my freshman year to do work that helps set me up to find a job and work that I enjoy after I leave. #ENGR193 forces me to step away from coursework once a week to create the time and space to focus on preparing myself for life after Stanford. One of the most useful parts of the class for me is the partner roleplay exercises we do. We spend time in pairs rehearsing what we might say in a variety of professional conversations.
